Lakeshore bin rental

A community of communities on Lake St. Clair

Lakeshore formed in 1999 from the Town of Belle River and the townships of Maidstone, Rochester, Tilbury North and Tilbury West. It has more than 35 km of Lake St. Clair waterfront and five Highway 401 exits.

Lakeshore is growing fast. It reached 40,410 people in the 2021 Census, up 10.4 percent from 2016. Growth like that means new subdivisions, additions, basement finishes and a steady stream of moves.

Each part of Lakeshore has its own feel: urban Belle River, the French communities of Stoney Point and St. Joachim, rural Woodslee and Comber, and Lighthouse Cove, where every home has waterfront. Big Dog Bins drops the same low bin in all of them.

How to pick a dumpster rental company in Lakeshore

Plenty of companies can drop a bin. Ask these three questions to find the right one.

Who answers the phone?

A family business puts you through to the person who runs the trailer. You get real answers about timing and placement, not a booking script.

Is the price the full price?

Ask for one clear number on the first call, and ask what it covers. That is how you avoid surprise charges.

Will the truck damage your driveway?

New subdivision driveways and lakefront lots do not handle heavy trucks well. A lighter pickup and trailer is easier on both.

Local rules

What can go in a dumpster in Lakeshore?

Lakeshore is part of the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority system. Roofing, renovation and household cleanout debris is fine in the bin.

A few things cannot ride in the bin. Landfill rules divert tires, appliances, clean corrugated cardboard, brush, grass and leaves to recycling, and refuse radioactive, biomedical and unidentified chemical waste.

Lakeshore joined the first phase of the Green Bin curbside organics program in fall 2025. Food scraps go in your green bin at the curb. Building and cleanout debris goes in our bin.

Cleaning up after high water on the lake? Tell us what was damaged when you book, and we help you sort what can go in the bin.

Do you need a permit for a bin in Lakeshore?

When the bin sits on your own driveway or lot, it stays on private property. For a spot on a road or boulevard, check with the Municipality of Lakeshore first. Most Lakeshore properties have room for our bin.

Placement

Lakefront lot or brand-new driveway? We can still fit a bin.

Lakefront lots can be narrow with soft ground near the water, and new subdivision driveways are often fresh concrete. Our pickup and trailer is lighter than a roll-off truck, so it is easier on both.

  • We confirm the drop spot with you before we unload
  • Lighter equipment is easier on new concrete and soft ground
  • The trailer backs into narrow lakefront lots
  • We tidy the spot when we collect the bin
Coverage

We cover all of Lakeshore and its communities.

  • Red pin: community we serve
  • Large pin: town with its own page

We also deliver to Stoney Point, St. Joachim, Woodslee, Staples, Deerbrook, Russell Woods and Lighthouse Cove. For Belle River, see our Belle River dumpster rental page. Tap any pin for details.

Local advantage

Why a family-run dumpster rental company helps in Lakeshore

One point of contact

The person who quotes your job is the person who drops your bin. Nothing gets lost between a call centre, a dispatcher and a driver.

Gear that fits the job

Lakeshore has plenty of new driveways and lakefront lots. Our light pickup and trailer suits both better than a heavy roll-off truck.

Straight answers on the rules

We work with Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority rules every week. We tell you what can go in before you load.

No stress

What if the job takes longer than planned?

Basement finishes and shoreline repairs often stretch out. Call us and we swap the full bin for an empty one or leave yours in place longer. Rental time is flexible, so you are not racing a clock.

FAQ

Lakeshore dumpster rental questions

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Lakeshore?

We give every Lakeshore caller one straight number on the first call. The bin size, the debris and the rental length decide it. Call 226-202-1364 to get yours.

Do you deliver to Stoney Point, Woodslee and Lighthouse Cove?

Yes. We deliver across the whole Municipality of Lakeshore, including Belle River, Puce, Emeryville, Stoney Point, St. Joachim, Woodslee, Comber and Lighthouse Cove.

Can I rent a bin for high-water or flood cleanup?

Yes. Soaked drywall, flooring and damaged furniture can go in the bin. Wet debris is heavy, so tell us what you are clearing and we help you pick the right size.

Does the Green Bin program change what goes in my dumpster?

Not for building debris. Your green bin handles kitchen scraps on collection day. Drywall, shingles and cleanout junk still need a bin.

What cannot go in a dumpster in Lakeshore?

The main ones are tires, appliances, brush, grass, leaves and clean corrugated cardboard, which the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority sends to recycling. Radioactive, biomedical and unidentified chemical waste is never accepted.

What if my renovation takes weeks?

That is fine. Rental time is flexible. Tell us your rough timeline, and call when you want the bin picked up.
